Meet Megan Koehler – She was born and raised in Beulah, North Dakota. She is half Indonesian from her mother’s side and is grateful to understand and speak Indonesian. Currently, she is attending Brigham Young University, and her degree is in Communication emphasized in video production. Right now, she is taking classes online from her home in Beulah. When she is not doing online classes, you will find her spending time with my 94-year-old grandma. They usually have lunch together and watch her grandmother's favorite show, Jeopardy!
Megan has International Flair Since now Megan has traveled to 11 countries! She has been blessed to go to different places from Russia, Puerto Rico, Canda, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia and many more.When she travels her favorite part is exploring the beautiful land and especially getting to know the locals. Going along with trying new things, in high school Megan tried to do as many new activities as possible, from cross country, cheerleading, dance, girls basketball, girls golf, and track. Also in her senior year she decided to sign up for pageants and fell in love with it. Now she is currently a titleholder of Miss North Dakota International 2021. In July 2021 she will compete in Kingston, Tennessee for the title of Miss International 2021. Why #CelebrateEveryDay Megan's plate form is Celebrate Every Day! #CelebrateEveryDay is what the community needs more than ever, especially from 2020 to now 2021 with all the news and drama. Allowing to instead Celebrate Every Day by spreading the joy and having the knowledge for all national days whether it be historical or fun. Megan is currently an ambassador of the National Day Calendar and loves the organization. She also made the #postitforpositivity where everyone is welcome to join the hashtag. Simply grab a posted note and a pen then write a positive message, from there you can post it anywhere you like! As Miss North Dakota International 2021, Megan will be visiting local schools around North Dakota, whether in zoom meetings or driving down there, and have a big celebration with the students. She would love to have an impact through her message. She is also excited to meet the locals all around North Dakota and hear their stories. In addition to all that, she plans to mentor young girls in the BIO Girls organization, BIO Girls is a self esteem building program. Each session includes life skills lessons, small group mentoring, and non competitive activity, and their big event is the 5k run. Megan also loves volunteering anywhere they need her! As of now she is currently volunteering at her local library and soon will do many more! She is so happy to be your Miss North Dakota 2021 and am excited about where this journey takes her! |
